AUS ART DAY - Giving day to the arts
We are participating in this years AUS ART DAY – a national giving day to the arts. Our Aus Art Day goal is to raise $10,000 by the 23rd October 2025. As our faithful arts community you may be aware, in 2024 Outback Arts purchased the iconic PlazaTheatre, right in the heart of Coonamble’s main street. Since then, we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes to raise the funds needed to restore this beloved landmark into a vibrant, functional space for generations to come.

The Plaza Theatre receives generous donation
Coonamble’s much-loved Plaza Theatre has been given a remarkable boost, with a generous $600,000 donation from a generous benefactor set to secure its future as a regional cultural and community hub. The significant contribution will support ongoing essential restoration and upgrades at the historic theatre, ensuring it continues to serve as a vibrant space for theatre, film, live performance, and community events for another 100 years.

Hello Coonamble Arrives in Town
Directors Hannie Reyson and Michael Cathcart will arrive in town this month to start creating Hello Coonamble. Keep your eyes on our socials for the details of some free writing workshops.
