'Our Stories’ filming underway

Andrew Hull in Coonamble working with Wailwan Elder and Artist Sooty Welsh capturing his ceramic artwork on the Castlereagh River.

Our stories is a contemporary storytelling project documenting artists on Country in regional NSW.

Filming of these stories has involved engaging videographer – Andrew Hull to work with the artists to create a short film, unique to each of the artists. The films draw on three key themes – “Landscape, Culture, and Art’ with each artist being able to showcase their own practice as it relates to these themes.

Living Arts and Culture is a unique program that records and promotes regional NSW Aboriginal artists and their rich culture on a national scale and beyond. This project is funded by the Australian Government Indigenous Language and Arts program, Regional Arts Fund, developed by Outback Arts in partnership with Gidgee Media, 2 Rivers Pty Ltd and Indigeco Creative.
