Call Out: Are you an Aboriginal Artist – living in the Outback Arts region?
Opportunity to Exhibit & Sell your work

Outback Arts is seeking Interest from Aboriginal artists living in the region to be represented at the Sydney National Indigenous Art Fair (NIAF) markets.

This opportunity supports artists to showcase and sell their work to a national audience, connect with new markets, and be part of a high-profile celebration of contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture.
The Outback Arts region is open to artists from the shire areas of Bourke, Brewarrina, Walgett, Coonamble, Warren, Bogan and Cobar.

About the Opportunity
Selected artists will have their work represented and sold by Outback Arts at the NIAF markets in Sydney. Outback Arts will manage transport, stall presentation, and sales, with limited opportunities for artists to be present in person.

Who Should Apply
We invite EOIs from Aboriginal artists across all mediums, including (but not limited to):

  • Painting and drawing

  • Ceramics and sculpture

  • Textiles and fibre work

  • Jewellery and wearable art

Artists at all stages of their career are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Receive

  • Representation at a major national Indigenous art market

  • Access to new audiences and collectors

  • Professional support with presentation and sales

  • Payment for all works sold (less agreed commission)

Selection Criteria
Works for this event will be assessed based on:

  • Artistic quality and originality

  • Suitability of work for a market setting

  • Capacity to supply work within required timeframes

  • Connection to Outback Arts region.

  • Artist name, community, and contact details

  • A few words about yourself

  • 3–6 images of your work (with titles, sizes, and prices)

  • A brief statement about your practice
