Civic Reception hosted at The Plaza Theatre.

Outback Arts Centre in Coonamble was lucky enough to host Her Excellency the Honorable Margaret Beazley, Thursday 19th June. The Governor met with local artists in our area who spoke with her about their art that is showcased in the Outback Arts Centre. She was also lucky enough to meet some of the young artists who have their artwork in the Gallery as part of the Waste to Art exhibition.

Following Outback Arts, Governor Beazley attended an afternoon tea at Coonamble Shire Council which was catered by the (CWA) Country Woman's Association, which included speakers from the local Clontarf Boys academy, (NASCA) National Sporting Chance Academy and the Coonamble Youth Empowerment Program.

In the evening, a Civic Reception was held in the Plaza Theatre for Her Excellency and her husband, Mr Wilson. Local children had the special honour of performing the National Anthem and Country Roads during the event. The evening was packed with activity and carried a lovely sense of elegance. Many local community groups were also invited to join in the celebration, adding to the warm and inclusive atmosphere of the night.

We were delighted to have the talented Travis Jones and Davo Jones from Castlereagh Connection provide live entertainment, setting a wonderful tone for the evening.
