$5.2 Million Heartland Plan To Boost Regional Arts Across NSW
The NSW Government has launched Heartland: A Plan for Regional NSW Arts, Culture and Creative Industries 2026–2035, backed by a $5.2 million investment to support and grow arts, culture and creative industries across regional NSW.
The first dedicated strategy of its kind, Heartland was developed from wide community consultation and recognises the role of the arts in strengthening local identity, fostering connection, supporting resilience, and boosting cultural tourism and economic activity.
The plan includes targeted funding for partnerships, touring programs, First Nations initiatives, internships and creative hubs, alongside pilots to grow night-time economies and strengthen regional creative networks.
