Waste 2 Art entries are now open!

It’s that time of year again when you need to start hoarding your rubbish and turning it into art! The annual Netwaste Waste 2 Art competition is a community art exhibition and competition. Across our region, Bourke and Coonamble Shires are participating so all residents in those areas are invited to enter! Everyone from individuals to schools to professional artists are invited to take up the challenge and create a new life for materials that would otherwise have been chucked away! This competition really challenges the creative process and what people’s perception of rubbish really is…and you can also win some cash!!

This year the theme category is polystyrene and there is also the annual Scrap Metal Award but as long as it is waste, it’s in! There are several categories to choose from and your entry can be a group effort, a community installation, piece of furniture or a paintings! Check out the entry form for the guidelines and categories and start creating!
