CASP is open!

Heads up to any organisations and community groups who are after some funding to get their exciting local projects off the ground!

The Country Arts Support Program (CASP) is an annual small grants program administered by Outback Arts to support a creative and vibrant regional NSW arts scene. Up to $5000 is up for grabs for each application for projects occurring between 1 January and 31 December 2019. Eligible activities include workshops, exhibitions, performances, artist-in-residence programs, and public art and design projects.

CASP has helped to bring so many fantastic and original projects to our communities bringing opportunities which may otherwise not be available.

The 2018 CASP funding totalled at just over $17,000, for the Outback Arts region involving five projects across the shires of Cobar, Coonamble, Warren and Walgett. These projects included a writer’s workshop and author talk, a yarn bombing project, contribution to a street art festival and sculpture installation and a collage workshop to provide a creative respite for women on the land.

The process is an online application and the applicants are required to discuss their proposals with the team at Outback Arts prior to submission.

See here for past projects that have been funded through CASP.

Applications close on Friday 3 August, 2018 at 5pm AEST.
