Heads up to any organisations and community groups who are after some funding to get their exciting local projects off the ground!
The Country Arts Support Program (CASP) is an annual small grants program administered by Outback Arts to support a creative and vibrant regional NSW arts scene.
Up to $5000 is up for grabs for each project with applications now being accepted for projects occurring between 1 January and 31 December 2018. Eligible activities include workshops, exhibitions, performances, artist-in-residence programs, and public art and design projects.
The 2017 CASP funding totaled at just over $17,000, for the Outback Arts region involving six projects across the shires of Bourke, Cobar, Coonamble, Warren and Walgett. These projects included circus and dance workshops for the children of Burren Junction; a millinery workshop in The Marra promoting mental health through creativity; a night photography workshop in Coonamble and a classical piano recital community performance by Roman Rudnytsky, and a series of creative workshops both in Cobar.
The process is an online application and the applicants are encouraged to discuss their proposals with the team at Outback Arts prior to submission.
For all the how-to and other ins and outs see the Regional Arts NSW website.
