AFC Black Screen

AFC Black Screen Program – Outback Arts Region

In 2008 Outback Arts is working in partnership with the Australian Film Commission’s Black Screen to facilitate screenings of Indigenous Film in the region.

The Australian Film Commission's Black Screen program provides Indigenous communities and the broader Australian public with access to Indigenous films.

Black Screen has seven DVD compilations of contemporary Indigenous films, which are loaned to individuals and organisations for community screening events.

The program is a self-sufficient program whereby films (with all screening rights pre-arranged) are made available to communities for a ‘self sufficient’ screening.

Support - some support is available for these screenings with the possibility in some locations of transporting audience members from neighbouring towns.
