SERVICES - WHAT OUTBACK ARTS IS DOING FOR TOURING

Advice / Assistance with funding – Outback Arts can offer practical assistance in applying for the Guarantee against Loss (GAL) program through either Arts On Tour or Arts NSW.  We also provide information on grants you can apply for to help get activity happening in your town.

Promoting – We promote and market your activities to help make sure you get maximum participation.  If you’d like to gauge interest in the region for a particular tour or activity we can help get the word out too.

Valuing local talent – Outback Arts can assist in promoting locally based teachers, practitioners, artists or performers to the wider region

Sourcing relevant product – Outback Arts can help point you in the right direction or make enquiries on your behalf on a particular type of tour or activity.  E.g. you might be looking for a Latin Dance teacher, a comedy theatre show, or a traveling art exhibition.

Information - Outback Arts is a point of contact for many musicians, producers, and tour companies, so we are able to disseminate information on ‘what’s on offer’ in the region.  If you are interested in ‘hosting’ or organising any performances, let us know.  We also provide information to these groups which assists them in planning and running projects in our region.

Presenter Group Network – we facilitate a regional network of community groups, pubs/clubs, arts councils, youth centres, and schools who are interested in bringing touring artists, performances, exhibitions and arts/cultural educational activities to towns in the region.

Venue Database – Outback Arts is seeking to establish an up to date database of venues such as halls, theatres, or live music venues.  This can be accessed by not only groups in the region but by outside groups trying to plan a tour.  We also seek to cooperate with other database systems such as Music NSW Online Venue Database V Room.
