Musica Viva- Papalote

An Outback Arts  region tour of an incredible Australian music outfit...

PAPALOTE   -   The vital force in “Latin Australian” music

DOWNLOAD - Generic Poster in Word (adapt for your show)

Papalote is more than just a band; they are teachers, ethnomusicologists, spokespeople for the culture of South America and the Caribbean and indefatigable cultural workers, whose performances are ever an exhilarating, passionate and kaleidoscopic journey through time, place and cultures. Their music blends the culture of three continents: the ancient sounds of Indian flutes and pan-pipes of Latin America, the more familiar scales and harmonies of the European guitar and the rhythms of African drums and marimbas. Over 200 traditional instruments from all over Latin America are used in Papalote’s repertoire.

Full details on performers available from Giselle at Musica Viva.  *All fees are flat fees excl. GST – only additional cost to local presenter groups is venue hire.  Performances generally 2 hours long

Outback Arts continues work with Musica Viva to assist in touring dynamic musical groups to western NSW communities.
