Critical Stages "The Pitch" (comedy theatre)
Peter
Houghton’s brilliantly written and performed play strips
bare the whole shabby business of Hollywood film writing.
The Pitch is set in the apartment of Walter Weinermann an
aspiring screenwriter, just before he is about to pitch his
screenplay to a heavy hitting film industry panel. We watch
as Walter practices pitching his film and tries to get his
story straight in time for his one shot at the big time.
Tickets from $25 - avail. presale and on the door.
Presented by Cobar Arts Council in association with Outback

workshops (Bourke High School & Pera Bore)
"Loves Magic" pres. by Bell Shakespeare Company Actors at
Work Program
Scenes
from Romeo And Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream...
'Think but this, and all is mended’
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act 5 Scene 1.
The course
of love is never smooth! Spells and potions, Cupid’s wayward
arrows, interfering parents and bad timing all conspire to
make matters difficult! Love’s Magic uses scenes from Romeo
And Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream to explore the
soaring heights and plummeting depths that love can take us
to. Students
see how Shakespeare’s words come alive and how his
characters’ dilemmas resonate with their own view of the
world around them.
