Sponsored by NSW  Dept of Primary Industries the day will feature Sandra Martin, a style and image consultant, who will be the keynote speaker with an address aimed at encouraging women to invigorate their self image. Free lunch  and morning tea provided, but limited places available. Tickets must be obtained by June 26th from the organiser.

The famous Australian outback mining town of Lightning Ridge will celebrate local culture and character with its annual Opal Festival.  The Opal & Gem Expo will have a fantastic range of opal, jewellery, beads and gems from all mining fields and the OJDAA Trade Show will boast some of the world’s best black opal. Social activities include the spectacular Opal Queen Ball on Saturday, Stallholders’ Wine and Cheese night, and parties and entertainment jam-packed into the program

Gullah Kids Film Project

The project will provide an opportunity for young people to produce short films, providing skills in video production, performance and storytelling. Gullah Kids will be a hands-on, practical and fun experience. The students will plan and run a short film premier to screen their films on Friday 8 August at two eight two eight. The program is being run by Christian Tancred, a media professional specializing in film and video and community engagement.
