Outback Arts R.A.D.O. Service Visit

As part of Outback Arts’ service to the far west our Regional Arts Development Officer (RADO) regularly travels the region.  The purpose of these visits is to provide community access to Outback Arts for assistance, support, or advice relating to arts and cultural matters.  Even if you’d just like to have a yarn about what Outback Arts is doing in your community, or some ideas and projects you have on the boil, please get in touch to find out about the RADO’s next visit. Waste to Art Exhibition Warren

WASTE 2 ART is a community exhibition and competition that shows creative works made from reused and recycled waste materials.  The purpose of the project is to encourage the concept of REDUCE REUSE and RECYCLE whilst changing attitudes about ‘rubbish’ and what we throw away.  Check out the amazing entries from Warren residents!

Rory has played harmonica, guitar, spoons and trombone(!) with many other well known musicians including, from the USA Ani Di Franco and Michelle Shocked, Towns Van Zandt, from West Africa Ali Farke Toure, from San Antonio Flaco Jiminez, from Morroco Hassan Erraji, from Madagascar Tarika, Paul Rodden- virtuoso of the Irish 5-string banjo and from Northumbria Kathryn Tickell to name but a few!  He has toured and played with Australian Aboriginal songwriter Kev Carmody, with Texan songwriters Butch Hancock and Jimmy Dale Gilmour and Donegal’s Pyrotechnicos. $15/head.

Young people also have the opportunity to meet inspiring role models, learn about healthy living, career options and boost literacy and numeracy skills.  Vibe Alive Step One - Getting Together  want to make sure Coonamble Vibe Alive is a huge success. To do this Vibe Alive needs feedback from the Coonamble community and have arranged this special meeting to ensure Coonamble Vibe Alive is an outstanding success.
