Belinda Colless
(Brewarrina
Shire Council)
This
is Belinda’s first year on the Outback Arts Board as the
representative for Brewarrina Shire Council. Belinda’s only
claim to artistic ability was winning an art prize in
primary school however she has an appreciation of art and
understands how artistic expression is vital in the
retention and evolution of our culture. Art is one of the
few areas in our life that allows for total creative freedom
for the artist and individual interpretation by the viewer –
there is no right or wrong. Belinda moved to Brewarrina in
May 2008 after having worked in the Orana Region for 18
months and has a great association with many of the
communities represented by Outback Arts. Through her
existing network she hopes to promote access to the Arts to
the community of Brewarrina and surrounds. |
